I know it's October but as I always say "Better Late then Never"

............The Green String

There is this very bright green string that looks kinda like a shoe string but much longer. I'm not sure where it came from but I keep putting it away and it keeps finding it's way back to places it does not belong. Each of the kids have dug it out of the junk drawer and used it for various things. Nate tied the door handle to his bed room to the banister on the stairs so that "he can shut the door on his way down the stairs" he had to take it off when he couldn't open the door to his room. He left if laying in the hall. I put it in the laundry room drawer. Ethan used it to tie something heavy to and then swing it around to try and knock things over, he hit Nate who started crying, so Ethan had to go to time out and the string sat on the table for a few days until Braiden used it measure the wall in his room and then the desk in the garage to see if it would fit in his room. It somehow got in with his laundry and while taking clothes out of the dryer I found it tangled up around clothes. So this time I thought "good grief this string is driving me crazy" so I took it out to the garage, pulled my old scout bin out from under a bunch of Steve's stuff, put it in, shut the lid and put the bin back. As Kyle was leaving for scout camp I had to laugh because there was that green string, he had used it to tie his sleeping bag onto his back pack!!! I hope the string likes camping.

Some friends of our Dick and Denise MacFarlane invited us to Lake Natoma with them yesterday. They had all the toys that one needs to have at the lake and the boys had so much fun. You won't see the pictures or video's of me and my expert Kayaking...which let me tell you would have been REALLY entertaining, and you don't see any of Steve because well....he likes much bigger boats if he's going to be out on the water, but you will see 4 boys having a wonderful time.

Even Nate was amazing on the Lake not bad at all for a 6 year old.
