Happy New Year !!!

I overheard a conversation the other day about people sending out Christmas photo cards and how sad it was that the parents weren't ever in the pictures just the kids. I feel this is true...It is sad, we (Amata's) would get a lot more sympathy if the picture included Steve and I. ("those poor kids just look at their parents") lol.
2007 has just flown by here in Nixa, MO. We have enjoyed our time in the center of the US. Steve has been working as a photographer at a local studio and taking sports shots at football games. He is really good if I do say so myself. He has done quiet a bit of fishing (there are tons of lakes around here) and made the Stren series final tournament that took place in Alabama. He is working with the 16 and 17 year old boys for our church and as I type we have a house full of them playing games.
I have stayed busy just keeping up with the boys. I work part time in the Oldest Salon in Nixa. I have enjoyed the grown up talk and adult interaction. I have been a counselor in the Primary for our Church we have 75 kids under the age of 12. I have loved it.
Kyle turned 13 and is our built in babysitter...the perils of being the oldest. He started Jr High and has taken pride in maintaining all A's and a couple of B's. He is the most driven kid I have ever known. The teenage thing could be a problem but thank goodness he'll out grow it????
Braiden is 11 and can't decide whether he likes drawing of fishing better. He has some amazing talent and has split the difference by drawing pictures of fish. He has a competive spirit about him, and let's Kyle know he has ALL A's. The joys of boys.
Ethan 7 is our acrobatic child. He is on the skinny side and I think it's because he runs, jumps, hops or summer salts EVERYWHERE. For the talent show he stood on his head on stage for about 4 minutes. He received a standing ovation (most likely because his was the talent that was least grating on the nerves).
Nate is KING of the house. He rules and makes sure everyone knows he is in charge. He has told everyone who asks his age since he was barley 3 that he is "3 and 1/2" or "almost 4" granted his birthday is not until April. He is such a loving kid. He'll say at almost every meal Thanks mom and dad this is my favorite meal ever.
We have been so blessed this year with friends and family. We really thank Heavenly Father for watching out for us. We are going to test those blessings by moving again.....yes I said MOVING AGAIN. Steve is going to California to start a job in about a week and I am going to Sanford CO to live by the family until he is has tested the waters. We'll see how this all works out so stay tuned to our blog page to READ ALL ABOUT IT.
Thank you to everyone that has been so helpful and we'll see you on the flip side.

Steve, Lisa and family

Lisa,
Wow! What an adventurous life you live. I was happy to hear about you and your family. I have been wondering about you. I hope all is well. Keep in touch. We are all well. I have been so grateful to the investing seminar you sent me to see Carol Tuttle because we have learned so much and we wouldn't have been tipped on them if it weren't for an awesome friend. Thanks. Love Crystal
